Assault (Off Campus)

 

Where:                North of our campus in the EBDI communities

 

When:                  Evening hours

 

How:                     Please be advised that the Baltimore City Police Department is investigating an assault where a victim was punched by a passing group of juveniles while walking alone to his vehicle that was parked in the surrounding neighborhood.  REALLY?! No weapons were used or implied. The victim has been identified as a Hopkins staff member. The staff member received minor injuries while fleeing his attackers.

 

Wanted:              Suspects are described as an unknown group of African-American teenage males with varied descriptions. The incident is being investigated by the police. Corporate Security has been in contact with the district commander from the Eastern District police department and the director of security for EBDI and has learned that special attention will be given to the area as a result.

There is nothing like coming home to your apartment complex to find the EMS in your lobby.  Come to find out that a current tenant was trying to jump from their apartment balcony. Geez, Baltimore isn't that bad.

One of the perks of living in downtown Baltimore = EMS/fire station is down the block.

7-11 below my apartment complex

I live in area of Baltimore that is ghetto 'upcoming' and 'revitalizing'.  Below my apartment complex are a couple of nice restaurants, Starbucks, BofA, and the 7-11.  The 7-11 is a unique place.  Not only is a local convenient store, but also home aka outdoor camping to many people who live outside of it.

On my way to work, no surprise here, someone getting arrested at 6am
