Car Bang

To the East Baltimore campus

Corporate Security has been advised by the Baltimore Police Department, Eastern District, that there have been recent reports of groups of juveniles converging on vehicles and vandalizing the vehicles while stopped at traffic lights.  Some drivers have been assaulted when doors were left unlocked and/or the windows were in the down position.

As the summer approaches, we would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant while traveling:
  • Always be aware of your surroundings when walking, cycling or driving.
  • Ensure that your car doors are locked at all times.
  • Keep your windows at a level that prevents anyone from gaining access inside the vehicle while stopped in traffic.

A recent incident occurred in the 1000 block of East Madison Street (at Ensor Street), which the Baltimore Police Department is actively investigating. If you have any information regarding this or other incidents, please contact the Baltimore Police Department, Eastern District, at 410-396-2433.
