Building construction fail

Something doesn't seem right. I'm by no means a construction worker, but random poles in the floor seems weird.

I'm in the process of looking for a permanent job at my workplace. Then, I came across this. I have tons of experience in FML. In fact, many FMLs have occurred in my life.

Hopkins Employee Parking Lot

Is it really necessary to club your car in your employer's parking lot? I completely understand if you're parking on the street..but really inside a parking deck for the day?
