C-H-A-O-S

To the Johns Hopkins Medicine community

Baltimore City Police are investigating the report that someone was seen walking north on Broadway with a gun. No one was harmed. No shots were fired. The person is no longer on the East Baltimore medical campus. Out of an abundance of caution, we alerted our staff through a text alert system.

Also, be advised that a building several blocks from The Johns Hopkins Hospital is on fire.

Baltimore City is under a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The Mayor has said that if you are going or coming from work or have a medical emergency, you will not be impacted by the curfew.

If traveling to the East Baltimore medical campus, please check news reports and traffic advisories, and use alternate routes, if necessary. Please be careful.
